State Passes Law Letting Teachers Use Bibles In The Classroom. Do They Have Your Support.?

A unanimous bill was recently passed amongst Kentucky’s Education Committee. The bill states that public educators are permitted to use the Bible for literacy class, as a means to better students’ knowledge of poetry, stories and biblical characters. The purpose of the course is to help students develop analytical skills and historical knowledge that they can take to their other social studies courses.

One of the requirements of the bill is that the Kentucky Board of Education will have to create an elective course on the Bible in the social studies program. According to policymakers, the course is designed to be more educational than religious and its purpose is to help students gain a broader of understanding of modern culture and society.

The bill is being sponsored by Democratic State Sen. Robin L. Webb, who received unanimous support. As a child, Webb was remembers using the Bible as a way to learn about literature in the classroom. “It’s just like the dissection and discussion of any other book,” said Webb, who feels the addition of the course will be a positive one in the school district. Democratic State Senator Gerald A. Neal agrees with Webbs, stating that “the course will not teach the Bible, but instead it would teach about the Bible.” The difference is that the course is not designed in any way to sway the students’ religious belief, but instead it is designed to teach about the Bible, which will eventually serve as a basic foundation for future courses in history and social studies.

The Education Committee believes that the addition of the course will be a great value to the school system, and the Bible is not something that we should run away from, but instead we should embrace it, as it is a part of our history. Senator Webb has confirmed that the course would have to follow strict guidelines that enforce religious neutrality, as not to sway students.

Policymakers have put their reasoning for the course out into the world, but that hasn’t stopped others from voicing their objection for the course. The American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky is one of the groups that is opposing the bill, stating that government employees should not teach religious beliefs to children and that the decision to teach about the Bible should be made by the parents and religious leaders.

The mission of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU) is to defend the rights and liberties of all individuals, based on the Constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The organization works diligently to promote and protect the constitutional rights of residents.

Commenters had a mixture of feelings toward the passing of the bill…

“I’m a Christian and also a constitutionalist. The Bible in school is ok, as long as used as a reference or teaching aid, but not for religious teaching. Tough to accomplish. But would also need to be able to use the Talma and Charan, under the same rule. Be careful what you wish for.
Christian’s cannot agree on the proper teachings from Church to church.”

“The bible belongs in every school in America… no exception. As far as the Charan, the Talma or anything else… America was not built on the principle of these doctrines and therefore they should not and must not be allowed. As far as keeping the bible only in church affiliated schools… that a load of crap. When Jesus said go and be fishers of men He did not intend for you cast your net in the boat, but rather over the side where the fish are… GET IT. Wake the hell up America… you cannot and never will be able to PUT GOD IN A BOX.”

Brave schoolboy who charmed the nation when he fell over while carrying the Olympic Torch dies from rare bone cancer aged 18

A teenager who captured the hearts of the nation when he stumbled while carrying the Olympic torch, has died.

Kieran Maxwell, 18, from Heighington in County Durham, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday morning following a six-year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.

The brave schoolboy, who lost part of his left leg to the disease, hit headlines in 2012 during the London Olympics when he fell over during a torch relay through Bishop Auckland. Undeterred, he got back up again and completed the relay.

Speaking to MailOnline afterwards, he said: ‘My first reaction was I was worried people might laugh. But they didn’t – they started really cheering me on.

‘My mum ran over and shouted “are you alright Kieran?” and tried to pick me up. I just said “get off me mum, I want to do this and I want to keep going”.’

His mother Nicola blamed the fall on his NHS prosthetic leg, which is designed for someone weighing 60kg when Kieran only weighed 30kg.

Writing on the Kieran Maxwell Legacy Facebook page on Friday evening, his devastated mother announced that her son had lost his battle with cancer.

‘This is Kieran’s mam and it’s with a heavy heart that I write this post,’ she wrote.

‘As you know this page has been very quiet the past couple of weeks. This was due to Kieran not being very well.

‘Things changed for him a couple of days ago and we had to get a morphine pump fitted.

‘This got Kieran very comfortable and we were planning to take him to the cinema to see the new Transformers film tomorrow.

‘Unfortunately today Kieran at 5.26am gained his wings. He passed peaceful in his sleep.’

She added that the family would be continuing Kieran’s wish of providing research into Ewing’s Sarcoma through the charity CCLG.

‘I want to thank you all for the support you gave my boy while he was alive,’ she added.

Tributes have poured in following the news, with classmate Becca Sanderson writing: ‘Kieran was such a lovely, kind, nice and funny guy.

‘He was mainly a very good friend not just to myself but to other people and staff at Darlington College.

‘Very sad and upsetting news. Can’t believe he’s gone. Never going to forget the conversations me and Kieran had in college on our breaks and lunch times. RIP to a brave, young man who will never be forgotten. RIP Kieran, fly high.’

Louise McKay described the teenager as ‘a true inspiration to everyone, so brave and a wonderful young man’, adding: ‘RIP Kieran you’ve touched so many people’s lives and your legacy will continue to touch many more.’

Girl Stuns Texas Cops With Shocking Question, Then They Look Behind Her

Cedar Hills Police on the job

While a couple of Texas cops were eating their lunch, they were approached by a little girl who had a question for them they’ve never been asked before. Stunned by her single request, they looked behind her and immediately stopped their meal.

Cedar Hill Marshals Harris and Wallace had just sat down to eat when they were reminded that they are never really off the job. A little girl, who they later learned was named Chloe, came up to the side of their table seemingly out of nowhere and said something to the pair that they said was a first they’ve heard in their careers. When they saw her father behind her, they grabbed the child’s hands.

All little Chloe wanted was to know if she could pray for these two brave men, who serve and protect her each day. She can’t fathom the danger and difficult situations they face on the job, but is grateful they suit up to protect her daily so she doesn’t have to see the things they do.

Chloe praying with the Cedar Hills Marshals.

Touched by her selfless request and having never been offered this before, the officers stopped what they were doing, held her hands, and dropped their heads in prayer as this child asked God to protect these heroes. Chloe’s father stood by and watched with pride, snapping a picture of this touching moment to share to the Cedar Hill Police Department page. The post struck the heart of the nation and has gone viral for good reason.

Chloe’s father has taught his daughter compassion and respect for all people of any race, but especially those who put their lives on the line to serve others in an often thankless profession. He’s raising her right, not to see color or difference, or with an attitude of entitlement that she’s owed something, but that she can give love and not hate.

The officers didn’t reach for their guns when they saw her coming, as some incorrectly assume is the automatic response — they extended their hands instead. The cops, the child, and her father came together that afternoon as people living in a terrifying time, both in need of God’s superior protection. The country needs more of this kind of thing, as kindness and compassion have no jurisdictional boundaries.

Black Kid Tracks Down White Boy, Makes Him Pay For Being ‘A Slave’

Jamarion Lawhorn (left) and Connor Verkerke (right)

When two Michigan boys went to a playground to pass the afternoon as kids do, one wouldn’t leave alive. The victim became the perfect target for another child’s twisted desires, after the sick lessons he learned at home that led him to commit a heinous crime.

Jamarion Lawhorn, 13, had allegedly buried a knife in the sand at a park in Kentwood, waiting for a white boy to come to play. When 9-year-old Connor Verkerke arrived, he didn’t realize this teen terror’s rage-filled eyes would be the last thing he saw. Jamarion unearthed his weapon and stabbed the younger boy to death, releasing years of abuse from his parents with every drive of the knife into this young boy’s body.

After the stabbing on August 4, 2014, many people are outraged over the judge’s decision on the case. Sordid details about the murder have also been released, which should bring more charges, but it won’t.

Kentwood, Michigan park where killing happened

Jamarion didn’t know his victim. He just knew he wanted to kill someone so he could get out of the house of horrors he lived in. He had endured daily severe beating by his mom and stepdad, including being whipped with an extension chord, among other dangerous devices. Jamarion claimed he was treated “like a slave,” and his home was filthy and borderline condemned, according to WOODTV.

After killing Connor, who tried to run for help after being bludgeoned but collapsed on the step of his home, Jamarion calmly called the police. He immediately admitted to what he did and said he wanted to be removed from his awful life at home. His claims of the condition and heinous abuse were confirmed with extensive evidence, and his parents were each charged with abuse and neglect.

Anita Lawhorn, Jamarion’s mother (left), his stepfather, Bernard Herrold (right)

It’s now been decided this week that Jamarion will be charged as an adult, and he will receive his sentence at a later date. The child killer doesn’t seem to care, as he has already lived the life of a death sentence in his own home before now. Prison is an improvement.

his mother is not happy about him getting the adult treatment, nor is she taking responsibility for creating this monster. “It’s my son. He’s a baby. He’s charged as an adult, but ya know at the end of the day he was still born March 14th, 2002. He’s still a kid,” Anita Lawhorn, Jamarion’s mother, told Fox 17.  “I understand the severity of the case, but he’s not an adult and I know he has to be punished for his actions and I do not believe he should get an adult sentence.”

Jamarion isn’t the only killer in this case, his mother and stepfather did their part in killing the spirit this kid could have had, replacing it with hate and rage as a result of their abuse. They deserved to be charged with homicide as well. Had it not been for their deplorable parenting, Connor would be alive today, and Jamarion wouldn’t have become the young thug they created.

Cops Run Out Of Motel In Tears After Finding 3 Women’s Sick Use For Sheets

Parkway Inn in Middletown, OH. Inset from left: Rachael Bostian, 29, Hawkins-Stephens, 26, Ramona Bostian, 56

Ohio cops were called out to a motel room by a strange woman with an alarming request. When they entered the filthy joint, they found the threesome’s disturbing new use for bed sheets, and it made them sick to their stomachs. The officers left the room in tears, unable to handle a scene that was unlike any other they’ve had before.

On Wednesday, a 911 dispatcher received a call from a woman asking for assistance at Parkway Inn in Middletown. The caller was reportedly having a problem with one of her young sons, but it wasn’t until cops walked in that they knew exactly what she meant, seeing what had taken place over the last 22 hours.

According to WDTN, 26-year-old Theresa Hawkins-Stephens was staying in the rented rat hole with her two boys, ages 5 and 6, along with her 29-year-old girlfriend, Rachael Bostian, and Bostian’s 56-year-old mother, Ramona Bostian. The call to police came from the room on account of one of one of the boys having fallen unconscious.

The caller claimed the boys’ injury happened after he ran away for a couple of days and some kids found him. She’s heard saying in the 911 call that the kids who got a hold of him “messed him up real bad,” but that was far from the truth of what really happened.

Alexander & Damyan Stephens, brothers who were beaten

Officers found not just one, but both boys wrapped up in a sheet in a cocoon-type case, so that they were defenseless against the women’s abuse they force on them for 22 hours straight. The day before, one of the boys had taken food for him and his brother to eat, which was enough to set the women off and punish them with nearly a full day of perpetual beatings. The injuries they endured were so horrific that every officer on the scene left the room in tears, but it only got worse two days later.

The children were rushed to the hospital, the 5-year-old with life-threatening injuries and the other’s deemed as serious. On Friday morning, the youngest of the two was pronounced dead, never being able to recover from what he had suffered under his mother and her two friends’ wrath.

The three women had already been arrested before the boy was declared dead, and they were each initially charged with felonious assault and child endangering. However, new charges are expected to be updated since their crime against these kids resulted in a death. The outcome for the 6-year-old has yet to be determined.

Before it got to this point in the motel, the boys were failed by so many people, including a child protective system who either wasn’t aware or did nothing about concerns that had to have been obvious. There was not a single person in these children’s lives to protect them, until it was too late. Deserved recourse for each of these three monsters, is to be wrapped up in cot sheets from their jail cell and given the same treatment for hours on end, just like they did to these two little boys. It’s their turn to be the victims.

Soldiers Stop For Stranded Woman In Road, Had No Clue What Was Coming

Mary Mingo Williams (left), Soldiers who stopped for Williams (right)

A group of soldiers was traveling down a busy street in Port Arthur, Texas when they came across a woman who seemed stranded. After noticing that she looked upset, they decided to stop for her to see how they could help but had no clue what was coming miles down the road.

Mary Mingo Williams was on her way home from work when she stopped at a traffic light but couldn’t get her car to go again after it turned green. As cars whizzed around her, honking and screaming at her for holding up the traffic, she desperately tried to push her car out of the road and onto the shoulder but was struggling to get it to move. Not a single car stopped for this woman until almost an entire “platoon of army men,” as she described them, appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

Seeing how dangerous the situation was, the suited-up heroes didn’t just move her immobile car out of harm’s way — they pushed it with their bare hands all the way to the gas station which wasn’t nearby. “I don’t know where they came from, but all of a sudden I had almost a platoon of army men. They pushed my car literally from Motiva Terminal Gate to the Citco station on Gulfway Drive. Do you understand what I’m saying? They pushed my car on their feet,” Williams wrote in her viral Facebook post about what came of this incident.

She was so struck by their effort that they didn’t hesitate to offer for a stranger, that when they all got to the gas station she asked if she could take a photo of them to share that there are still good men in this world who will help a woman in need. They kindly agreed, and as she snapped their picture, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

Man who offered soldiers $100

Another man at the gas station saw what these soldiers had done for her and pulled a $100 bill out of his pocket and handed it to the heroes to say their next meal was on him for their kindness. The men refused his generous offer, saying that they “were doing what we were raised to do.” That’s when the man turned back to Williams with something else.

“This same gentleman turned around and put gasoline in my car and told me to keep the money that I had in my pocket,” Williams wrote in her post. After trucks driven by men passed her by, refusing to stop to help and even going as far as to honk their horn for her to get out of the way, Williams was shown a contrast of character in the real men who ended up crossing her path. These soldiers and the generous passerby who was impressed by them are the result of having been raised right, taught respect and compassion for other people who just need a little help.

Dad Crushed Baby’s Skull For Fun, Gets Shocking Dose Of Prison Justice

Daniel Wilson (left), Potosi Correctional Center in Missouri (right)

When Daniel Wilson’s cellmate found out about the twisted “fun” the father had with his infant son, resulting in the baby’s death, the disgusted cellmate made sure that karma paid a visit to this evil parent. Getting creative with his approach, the man who slept on the cot next to the baby killer delivered a surprise dose of prison justice.

The St. Louis native probably thought he had gotten off easy after being sentenced to life in prison rather than death, for beating his 7-month-old baby boy so bad that he crushed his skull and killed him in 2010. Settling into his new digs at Missouri’s Potosi Correctional Center, with three hot meals taken care of for him and endless hours of reading in his prison cell, Wilson never saw what was coming when 38-year-old Brandon Kulhanek was assigned to share a cell with him.

Brandon Kulhanek

According to the St.Louis Post-Dispatch, Kulhanek was serving an 18-year sentence for assault and other charges when he got into an argument in the shared cell space with Wilson. It quickly became violent, and since Wilson is only accustomed to beating babies, he couldn’t hold his own against a grown man. Not long after the fight began, Wilson was pronounced dead on the floor of his cell, suffering a crushed larynx.

Now, Kulhanek is facing the same life sentence Wilson once was, since he’s been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly beating the degenerate dad to death. Hopefully, a judge will see the situation for what it is — an eye for an eye and Wilson getting exactly what he deserved for fracturing his son’s skull and causing brain damage in a fit of rage. He needed the death sentence to begin with, and this inmate made sure he got it.

‘We Are Through’: TXrump Supporter Blasts ABC News With Billboard Message

A Texas Trump supporter bought a billboard to slam ABC News over what he perceives as unfair and excessive coverage of the Russia investigation.

Kyle Courtney, from Boerne, Texas, wrote to ABC News that it has lost his long-time loyalty over its coverage of the 2016 presidential election.

“ABC News: I grew up with you. We are through. The Russians didn’t elect Donald Trump. I did,” reads the billboard.

The narrative that President Trump colluded with Russia to try to influence the election in his favor has been one of the most covered topics by ABC and other mainstream cable networks since campaign season, despite no smoking gun for the allegations so far.

“ABC News was the only channel I watched as a child growing up in Texas but I think they have lost touch with America and forgotten the working man,” Courtney said. “I’m not in the brainwashing business, but the liberal media is.”

“It started when they started telling us to hate George Bush … and then they hand me this Barack Obama on a silver platter,” Courtney told host Neil Cavuto.

“I don’t have anything against Barack Obama,” he added, but said he felt ABC portrayed Bush as the antichrist and Obama as the savior.

“And then when they started this ‘Trump is a Russian’ thing it was too much for me,” the Trump voter said.

A recent ABC-Washington Post poll showed 44 percent of Democrats see their party as out of touch with most people’s concerns, compared to only 30 percent of the GOP who see Trump or the GOP as out of touch.

Earlier this week, CNN and MSNBC decided to stick with Russia coverage over Trump’s live rally in Iowa.

BARRACK OBAMA WILL BE ON NEW $1 DOLLAR BILL 2017

A longtime push to honor modern presidents on currency has finally come to fruition. In 2017, Obama’s image will replace George Washington’s.

“WE THOUGHT ABOUT CREATING A NEW DENOMINATION FOR OBAMA, BUT GEORGE WASHINGTON HAS HAD PLENTY OF TIME IN THE SUN,”
John Apple from the Federal Reserve said.
“WE’VE NEEDED TO CHANGE THINGS UP FOR A WHILE NOW.”
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has released several comps but a design has not been finalized. The Bureau will release all compositions in early 2016 and poll the American public letting them help decide which design works best.

Many presidents were bandied about as the new face of the one-dollar bill including Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Reportedly, Reagan almost got the nod to replace Washington, but people within the Federal Reserve felt Obama brought a much needed multiracial mix to American currency.

“Obama being of mixed-race was probably what tipped things; however, we looked at overall accomplishments as well. Frankly, he [Obama] has done more for the betterment of this country than Reagan did, and he still has a year left. More importantly, the racial complexion of America has changed and putting Obama on the dollar bill really, really helps express that.”
An official republican response has not been issued, but Reserve leaders are confident that everyone will agree that this is a progressive step forward.

Middle School Parents Outraged To Hear What Black Teacher Forced Only White Students To Do .

Parents of middle school students in Rockingham, North Carolina, are outraged at what some students are saying their black teacher forced only white kids to do in front of the class. Now, the shocking story has gone viral as parents demand that the principal and school district answer for what many are considering to be a hate crime against white kids.

According to COED.com, multiple parents complained when they had heard that a black English teacher, identified as Tarsha Clarke, made white students in her class stand up and apologize to non-white students for their “white privilege.” At a Rockingham School District meeting held on May 8, 2017, a couple of parents stood up and voiced their outrage over the incident and also the fact that the school’s administration was trying to sweep it all under the rug.

Watch, as these parents tell the school board exactly what is on their mind. The second parent is nowhere near as calm as the first parent in the clip.

The first outraged parent who spoke was Farren Wilkinson. The description of the video uploaded to YouTube gives a transcript of Wilkinson’s speech to the school board on Monday, May 8th, 2017.

“Hello, my name is Farren Wilkinson … I just want to shed light on a situation that happened at Western Rockingham Middle School. Where a teacher caused some of her students to stand up and apologize to other students base on their inequal opportunities of education. So I would like to know how our schools can allow an educator to humiliate bully and degrade children. This is not a matter of race but a matter of a teacher using fear and the embarrassment of children to satisfy her own personal anger or beliefs. These children are not responsible nor accountable for any inequalities that are believed to be present,” Wilkinson said.

“The actions of this educator does not provide safe, nurtureing, dynamic and integrative learning. If she is not held to the standards set by Rockingham County schools, how can we expect other children to learn and grow to be productive citizens in society,” Wilkinson continued, “If nothing happens, if she’s not repremanded, for these actions, and when the parents call to ask what has been done. They are being assured that this was taken care of. But how was it taken care of? What did happen? What was her training? What was her consequences for this action? Because again, these children are not responsible for any inequalities that may exist in the school system nor should they be publicly humiliated among their peers for her own satisfaction.”

I would say that Wilkinson’s address to the school board was very tempered after hearing about the egregious alleged actions of Clarke. The next parent to stand up, however, was not as patient with the school board or the racist teacher who violated the civil rights of the white students in her class.

“Hello, my name is Robert Jeremy,” he said. “Common sense, when did it become a good idea to attack a child at a school because they were white, or they were black, or they were straight, or they were Christian? Or because they believed in something moral that they were taught at home? You see I teach my child and my two older daughters family values, Christian values. I teach not to judge somebody by the color of their skin but by the color of their heart. And my child will not be insulted, reprimanded, corrected because he has a good moral fiber.”

Stephanie Wray, the principal of Western Rockingham Middle School, was contacted by American Lens to ask about the incident where Clarke is accused of having white students in her class apologize for their “white privilege.” Wray issued the following statement summarily denying the incident ever occurred, according to The Gateway Pundit.

“In regard to your additional requests, I can not speak on any individual, however, any allegations brought to our attention are investigated thoroughly and proper disciplinary action is taken if needed. Again, I can not speak regarding specific individuals due to personnel law, however, the particular incident you asked about was unfounded to happen at our school,” wrote Wray.

Wray did confirm that Clarke still retains her teaching position at the school. As this story continues to go viral, I think a proper investigation of the teacher and the school administrators will be conducted to produce a much more appropriate result. Forcing white students to stand up in front of their classmates to apologize for being white and “over-privileged” is sickening. The parents of these students deserve answers and recourse against not only the teacher but also against the principal and school board.
